Singer Tom Walker helps a Manchester man propose to his girlfriend

Tom Walker helped a Failsworth man propose to his girlfriend by serenading her with one of his songs.

The singer was a guest on the Capital Breakfast show earlier today when listener Kane from Failsworth rang up to ask him to assist his proposal to his girlfriend Danielle by performing a rendition of the couple’s favourite song, 'Just You And I'.

Kane, who was speaking to Tom on the studio phone, waited nervously on the line while presenters Roman Kemp, Vick Hope and Sonny Jay FaceTimed Danielle with the surprise.

Tom went straight into the beautiful and personalised version of his hit single, singing "Danielle and Kane could take over the world."

"Well, this is one of the good days. I love you with all my heart, and you're an amazing mother to our son, Oliver.
