Sharon Osbourne upsets viewers with 'vile' Would I Lie To You confession

Sharon Osbourne upset viewers after making a 'nasty' and 'vile' confession on Would I Lie To You.

The show sees celebrities reveal unusual facts and tell embarrassing stories, some of which are true, to a panel of hosts.

Last night, many viewers were just looking for some pleasant TV viewing, but were shocked by Sharon Osbourne 's antics.

The former X-Factor judge said her former employee was sacked for ‘not having a sense of humour’ after she forced him to run into her home when it was on fire.

The unnamed former assistant was instructed to retrieve art from the flames - and if that wasn’t bad enough, Sharon also took an oxygen mask off him and gave it to her dog.

He was later sacked for “not having a sense of humour” about the incident, reports M.E.N.

The wife of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy stunned viewers of BBC panel show Would I Lie To You with her admission.

She told the panel: "I once sacked a member of my staff because he showed absolutely no sense of humour during a house fire."

Sharon explained that the fire started in the living room after she and her husband Ozzy had left a candle burning when they went to bed.

After being awoken by the fire alarm, Sharon ordered Ozzy to go downstairs before hearing him scream as his sling and hair caught fire.

Sharon ran out to Ozzy and pushed him into a fountain, before ordering their assistant to run back into the building and retrieve some paintings.

When he initially refused, Sharon scolded: “How very dare you, you work here and you get more paintings out right now.”

She added: “And I took the mask and I put it on my dog.”

The assistant later approached Sharon and Ozzy about the incident as they were laughing at what happened.

Sharon said: “He goes, ‘I don’t see what is funny about any of this. I think I’m going to have damaged lungs.’

“I said, ‘If you don’t think that’s funny, do you think this is funny? You’re fired.’”

Viewers were shocked by her admission, with many discussing it on Twitter.

Sharon featured on the Christmas special (BBC)

One tweeted: “In the spirit of Christmas, Sharon Osbourne has just outed herself as a truly terrible person in Would I Lie To You. Classic.”

Andy wrote: "How thoroughly unpleasant Sharon Osbourne seems to be after her tale on."

Ian tweeted: "My favourite TV programme but clear proof that getting the guest list correct is crucial. Usually the mix ranges from good to excellent but Sharon Osborne was awful. Safe to say she won’t be asked back."

Another said: "Terrible vile comments by Sharon Osborne @MrsSOsbourne. "

And Veronica said: "After watching #WILTY last night I have concluded Sharon Osbourne is a nasty, horrible person and that employee she sacked is better off without her. That story should not have been aired as it was not remotely funny."

But some viewers loved her honesty.

One wrote: "I don't think Sharon has seen the show before... Hilarious as always, excited for more in 2020. Happy New Year!"
