Seahawks DL Jarran Reed suspended 6 games for violating personal conduct policy

Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Jarran Reed has been suspended by the league for six games this season for a violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted the news Monday morning.

“Sources: #Seahawks standout DL Jarran Reed is being suspended 6 games for a violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy for an incident from early 2017,” wrote Rapoport. “He was not charged or arrested. His appeal was denied Friday morning. Huge on-field impact.”

The suspension is based on an incident that allegedly occurred in April 2017, when a woman claimed Reed had assaulted her.

Reed has not been arrested or charged with a crime. The appeal of his suspension was denied Friday morning.
