Screams heard from suburban Perth house where husband allegedly murdered wife

A house in Nollamara was turned into a crime scene after the body was found on Sunday.

The husband of a woman found dead at their Perth home has appeared briefly in court charged with her murder.

The body of Jessica Carter, 32, was found at a Nollamara home by concerned family members early on Sunday morning.

Neighbours had said they heard screaming coming from the house prior to the body being found.

Police this morning charged Ms Carter's 50-year-old husband, Harold Andre Carter, with her murder.

During a hearing in the Perth Magistrates Court, it was alleged the murder happened between Wednesday September 11 and Saturday September 14.

No other details were made public.

Mr Carter was not required to plead to the murder charge and his case was adjourned for him to get legal advice.

He was remanded in custody, although the magistrate told him he could apply to the Supreme Court for bail at any time.

Mr Carter is due to appear in court again at the end of next month.
