He is the local lad who lived the dream by lifting both cups last season.
The emotions, celebrations and memories from such a special achievement shall not be forgotten anytime soon.
Yet Liam Gordon, now captain of the club he grew up supporting, is not one for sitting still.
Already he is targeting more silverware and is looking to navigate through to the final of the League Cup by knocking out Celtic.
He said: “As much as you want to keep celebrating what we did last season, it gets to a point where you need to put it behind you.
“We’ve done that, we’re looking forward and have to defend this trophy. That is what all of the boys in the dressing room want to do.
“We’re looking to the future and seeing what more we can achieve. We want more success as a group and that’s what we’re striving for.”
The towering centre-half added: “Hampden has been a happy hunting ground for us.
“We’re up against Celtic and it’s going to be a different spectacle with the crowd there.
“It will almost be like playing away from home but we produce when the cards are against us, when we’re the underdogs.
“The boys relish it, love it and this game is something we’re all really looking forward to.”
Gordon is thrilled that fans will get their day out at Hampden having missed the chance last season due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“I was delighted we were back at Hampden for the supporters,” Gordon said.
“Hopefully it makes for a great day. But it will only be a great day for them if we go and get a result.”
