The agent of young Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba has been spotted in Manchester amid transfer speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United and Man City.
Both Manchester clubs are reportedly looking to reinforce their centre-back options this summer, though for different reasons.
City are short on options at the back following the departure of Vincent Kompany and there's uncertainty surrounding the future of Nicolas Otamendi.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, is said to want a new centre-back to improve the Reds' leaky defence that conceded 10 goals in the final five games of the season.
Saliba broke into the Saint-Etienne first team this season aged just 18 and helped Les Verts finish fourth in Ligue 1 and qualify for the Europa League.
The Frenchman showed great versatility to fill in at right-back on several occasions and reports suggest Saint-Etienne want a hefty fee for their prized defender - and that they also want him back on loan.
Saliba has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal too in past weeks, yet it's reported that Unai Emery wants the player to immediately begin his career at the Emirates and not return to his current side.
This has appeared to put a spanner in the works of any potential transfer and Saliba's agent, Djibril Niang has fuelled speculation that he could move to Manchester instead.
Niang uploaded a photo on Instagram in The Ivy restaurant in Manchester's Spinningfields, however the purpose of his visit has not been confirmed.
