When a team is rebuilding, the goal is to acquire as many blue-chip players as possible. Currently, the Raiders’ roster is somewhat devoid of elite talent. The team traded away two of the best young players in the NFL to gain more draft capital and cap space.
However, the Raiders do have at least one elite, blue-chip player on the roster; center Rodney Hudson. Over the last several seasons, you can make a case that Hudson has been the league’s best center. According to Pro Football Focus, Hudson has allowed just two sacks over the past four seasons, finishing with a pass blocking grade of 90.8.
As Oakland looks to rebuild their roster, they can take solace in knowing they have one of the league’s best interior offensive lineman in Hudson.
