Pedestrian killed in early morning crash

A pedestrian was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning near a Welsh petrol station. North Wales Police is appealing for information following the collision involving a 50-year-old man and a single car.

Warren Hooper, from Blacon, Chester died following the crash at 3am on November 27. It happened near a Texaco garage on Sealand Road, in Deeside, Flintshire just metres from the Wales-England border.

The road was closed for just over 10 hours on Sunday and reopened at approximately 1.15pm once North Wales Police had completed their investigations.

The force has asked anyone with dashcam footage or information to get in contact.
