INDORE: Eleven districts under Indore and Ujjain divisions on Wednesday reported 'zero' new Covid-19 cases, while four districts witnessed cases in single digit.
Among the four districts, Dhar and Barwani reported one new case each, while four persons tested positive in Ratlam district. As many as eight new cases were reported in Indore district. The only death was reported in Shajapur.
No new case was reported in Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Agar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Khargone, Khandwa and Burhanpur districts. Under Ujjain division, Ratlam has 23 active cases, Neemuch eight and Shajapur district has one.
In Indore division, Indore, Dhar, Barwani, Jhabua and Khargone districts are yet to be declared as 'free from Covid-19' as some patients are still undergoing treatment there. "Though daily Covid-19 count has dropped to single digit in many districts, including Indore, we have not reduced sample collection and testing as it is one of the ways to keep the spread of the infection under control," Indore division joint director (health) Dr Ashok Dagaria said.
Only two people died due to Covid-19 in Madhya Pradesh, according to revamped state health bulletin on Wednesday. Only 28 new Covid cases were reported from across the state. On Tuesday, state health bulletin had reported total 9,017 deaths in the state so far due to Covid.
