New seafood restaurant unveiled for Portobello Prom with stunning views

A new restaurant has been revealed for Portobello this week.

'Joppa Rocks' have announced they will be transforming the building at the end of the prom into a brand new seafood eatery.

Including a bar and restaurant, the site will encompass stunning views out over the water, bringing another venue to the promenade.

The restaurant will renovate the site that initially hosted a set of public toilets on Joppa Road, bringing a range of new dishes and crustaceans.

Currently, the restaurant isn't giving much away, with locals expected to see further teasers over the next few weeks.

So far on social media, a few posts have included pictures of seafood and cocktails, which sounds like a pretty tasty combination to us.

However, they have confirmed that the site will open in Spring 2021, which means we won't have to wait that long to visit.

Joppa Rocks will be one of a few sites setting up in Portobello this year, with Civerinos also announcing their new shop next to the beach.

Famed for their pizza around the city, the restaurant has taken over the Noble's Amusements site, and will launch after the Corstorphine venue opens its doors.
