Montae Nicholson flies around and cracks some pads on Day 10 of practices

Week 2 of training camp has rolled around in Washington, which means it’s time to start cracking some pads.

You don’t need to tell safety Montae Nicholson this; he’s ready to go.

According to multiple beat reporters on the ground on the 10th day of Washington Redskins training camp, Nicholson was flying around the practice field on Monday, popping teammates and making plays. Multiple times he was ready to meet a running back in the hole and knock them to the ground, or finding his way into pass coverage and breaking up the play.

Big hits are somewhat controversial in practice when it’s your teammates that are always on the receiving end. However, there is definitely some benefit to feeling the crack of pads early on, getting you in the groove for the season and live-action.

It appears that we know where Nicholson stands on the full-contact practice debates. He’s just ready to hit someone.
