Mining company AusGold — owned by Chinese businesswoman Sally Zou — has advertised for a "personal assistant" for a nine-year-old girl on a popular jobseeker website.
Online site SEEK posted an ad for a "kind-hearted, well-spoken, responsible, caring and fun-loving live-in personal assistant required for an energetic and sweet … nine-year-old girl based in Adelaide".
"Much of the time you will have sole responsibility for the child as the mother travels frequently," the ad continued.
It's understood Ms Zou has two daughters.
In the past she has purchased full-page newspaper advertisements to celebrate the birthday of her daughter Gloria and to mark her start at a private school in Adelaide.
It is unclear whether the role was advertised for either of Ms Zou's daughters, and she did not respond to the ABC's request for comment.
According to the job description, the successful candidate will "stay with the girl seven days a week during the private primary school semesters".
The ad — which has now been removed from the site — followed several highly public gestures by Ms Zou.
Zou no stranger to headlines
Ms Zou — a donor to the Liberal Party — attracted national attention after she set up a company called the "Julie Bishop Glorious Foundation".
The then-foreign minister was caught unaware: "I say that in the solemnity of this Parliament, I have never heard of such a foundation," Ms Bishop said.
Ms Zou also poured tens of thousands of dollars into the coffers of the party's SA branch and the election campaign of South Australian Premier Steven Marshall, and gave another $32,000 days after he won the election.
Weeks before, she tweeted a photo of a cheque for more than $1.2 million made out to the party, accompanied by a cryptic message.
"This is a life-journey wandering the Man, who met is a beautiful accident," Ms Zou tweeted.
However, the SA Electoral Commission's funding disclosures website contained no record of the donation, and the tweet was deleted a short time later.
Ms Zou — who has sponsored the Port Adelaide AFL club — has also taken out full-page ads in The Australian and The Advertiser newspapers, including one in which she sought luxury local property.
