Met Office weather forecast for Bristol predicts dull, grey weekend

It will be a largely dry, cold and dull weekend for Bristol and the rest of Britain, as a period of calm weather descends on the West Country.

The only spot of rain forecast by the Met Office for the weekend ahead is likely to be a shower or two late on Saturday afternoon, but apart from that, it’s going to be overcast and dry the rest of the time.

The forecast for Saturday begins with lighter skies and maybe a chance of a some sunshine peeking through, with temperatures climbing to a relatively mild 9degC by noon.

But from there, it’ll grow increasingly overcast and grey, with cloud thickening and a chance of a shower by around 4pm.

The rest of the evening will be dry, and the thickening cloud will keep the frost away, as temperatures remain well up above freezing.

Sunday will be particularly uneventful, weather-wise, with another overcast, grey day with little wind, no rain, no sunshine and temperatures remaining at around 8 or 9degC - but the wind chill may make temperatures feel a few degrees cooler.

Skies might lighten a bit in the mid afternoon on Sunday, but as darkness falls, it will continue to be still, overcast, mild and dry.

The outlook for the start of next week is much the same - with a chance of a shower on Monday afternoon and evening, and wetter, windier and milder conditions for Bristol by Tuesday.
