McDonald's have confirmed all the Glasgow restaurants that have reopened for dining-in from today (July 22).
The first wave of full reopenings will see 700 restaurants across the UK return to normal service, after having reopened some of their Glasgow branches for take-away and delivery last month.
The move by the fast food giant following a successful pilot at four branches, and sees restaurants fitted with perspex screens, floor markings and hand-sanitising stations.
The restaurants that have reopened in Glasgow today are:
- Argyle Street
- Crow Road
- Finnieston
- Braehead
- Easterhouse
- Great Western Retail Park
- Kirkintilloch
- London Road (Glasgow)
- Silverburn
- Maryhill
- Parkhead
- Pollockshaws
- Robroyston
- Sauchiehall
- Springburn
- St Enoch Centre
- Trongate
In a statement, McDonald's said: "Social distancing measures will be in place and, to prevent congestion, the restaurant will carefully manage the number of customers inside.
"When arriving, customers will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and follow the safety measures laid out in restaurants to help keep them, other customers and restaurant teams safe.
"Food will be served by table-service only with customers able to order directly to their table via the My McDonald’s App, at the till or kiosk."
Customers who chose to eat-in will also be asked to leave their contact details by using their smart phone to either scan a QR code taking them to a webpage or visiting the webpage directly with details provided on each table.
Details required by visitors include the name of the lead member of the group you may be with, the number of people eating, a phone number, the date and time of your visit and the restaurant number (identified on each table sticker).
