Matt Nagy confirms Bears WR Anthony Miller has sprained ankle

Anthony Miller was not in attendance at the Bears’ final training camp practice on Sunday.

The second-year receiver suffered a lower right leg injury after catching a pass during a one-on-one drill during Saturday’s practice.

Matt Nagy confirmed that  the injury Anthony Miller sustained was a sprained right ankle.

Nagy doesn’t believe Miller’s sprained ankle puts his status for the Sept. 5 opener in jeopardy. He expects him to be ready for the Packers game.

“I feel pretty good about what happened,” Nagy said after practice. “Coming away there, we got fortunate.”

Elsewhere on the injury front, outside linebacker Aaron Lynch did not practice on Sunday with a shoulder injury.

The Bears will return to Halas Hall to prep for Friday’s preseason game against the Giants.
