UEFA have fined Manchester City €15,750 (£13,600) for the 'throwing of objects' during the 2-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
The Blues were charged by UEFA following the game under the governing body's disciplinary regulations and a hearing of the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has slapped the club with a fine.
Dinamo were also charged with the throwing of objects and acts of damage and they have been fined €20,000 and told they can't sell tickets for their next away match in the Champions League.
The Croatian side must also contact City within the next 30 days to settle a bill for the damage caused by the club's supporters.
City fans have continued to boo the UEFA anthem before Champions League games this season, showing their displeasure at the way they feel the club have been treated in the past.
Pep Guardiola's side are at home again in the Champions League on Tuesday, when they face Serie A side Atalanta at the Etihad.
The Blues boss is aware that many City fans are yet to be convinced by the Champions League.
“The people here want to win it," Guardiola said before the game with Dinamo. "The fans – without them it’s impossible, without the feeling that we want to do it and are able to do it. [With only the] 11 players it’s not possible. We are going to try to seduce our fans and say: ‘OK, we can do it’.”
