Man charged after death of 54-year-old in Scottish town

A 58-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged after the death of another man in a Scottish town.

Emergency services were called to Morison Gardens in South Queensferry at about 6.10am on Friday and found an injured man, 54, who died shortly afterwards.

Officers arrested and charged the 58-year-old, who is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

A post-mortem examination is also due to be carried out, police said.

Morison Gardens is closed, alongside part of Stewart Terrace, while inquiries continue.

Police Scotland said additional patrols will be carried out in the area and anyone with any concerns have been encouraged to speak to officers.
