Major West Ham development in their bid to sign Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash

David Moyes has cooled his interest in Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash according to a source well connected to West Ham.

Forest have set a price of £15m before they will even consider parting ways with the defender who was crowned the player of the season yesterday.

The Hammers have been continuously linked with Cash having registered an interest back in January.

But EXWhuemployee, a reliable source of info at the Hammers, told the West Ham Way podcast  that Moyes' interest has cooled off.

Sheffield United have been the only club so far to register a firm bid although it was reportedly  £6m up front and the rest was in add-ons.

Burnley, Southampton, Aston Villa and Leeds have all been credited an interest in Cash who had a stellar season with the Reds last term.

We reported how the defender is not agitating for a move away from the City Ground.

He is a pivotal figure in Sabri Lamouchi's squad having made more than 140 appearances for Forest since making his debut in 2016.

He has scored 13 goals during his time at the Reds after starting out his career at Wycombe Wanderers.
