Highways officials have released pictures of the aftermath of a "serious" crash on the M1.
The M1 Northbound at J22 was closed for several hours after a serious collision took place at 11pm on October 20.
A full closure was put in place on the motorway as Leicester Fire and Rescue Service and Leicestershire Police attended the collision.
Highways England, in a post on Twitter, said: "The #M1 northbound #J22 (#A511 #Ashby #Coalville) to #J23 (#A512 #Loughborough #Shepshed) is currently CLOSED due to a serious collision."
Diversion routes were put in place after the incident and long delays were also reported.
The junction was reopened at around 3am on October 21.
Highways England added: "The full Closure at J22 M1 has now been removed. A lane 1 closure will remain in place until tonight due to a section of carriageway requiring resurfacing.
This repair will take place after 2000hrs tonight the 21st October."
