Met Office meteorologist Becky Mitchell said it will be dry with sunny spells in England, with temperatures expected to hover around the high teens and low 20s.

According to the Met Office forecast, Liverpool will bask in 19C heat tomorrow.

But temperatures will rise on Wednesday to 20C, with the weather set to be dry with sunny spells.

Thursday will remain at 20C, while there will be a slight drop on Friday and Saturday to 18C and 17C respectively.

However, on Sunday the hot weather will make a reappearance, with wall to wall sunshine and 21C predicted.

The Meteogroup said: "Tuesday will be dry with sunny spells in England and Wales.

"Cloudier elsewhere, with some light patchy rain and drizzle, which will continue to affect western Scotland and perhaps Northern Ireland.

"Wednesday will see more extensive cloud and light rain in the north and west, bright in the south-east."
