Leon Bailey, Max Aarons and the three transfers Tottenham are tipped to complete after Hojbjerg

Jose Mourinho will have the opportunity to bring fresh faces into his Tottenham squad over the coming weeks as he prepares for his first full season as Spurs boss.

The Portuguese manager took over from Mauricio Pochettino in the autumn of 2019 and despite a strong start, the team somewhat tailed off towards the end of the season.

However, Spurs did manage to secure a Europa League place for next season, and they will undoubtedly be looking to challenge for a Champions League spot for the 2021/22 campaign.

We’ve taken a look at the very latest SkyBet odds and have listed some players with the shortest odds to team up with Mourinho and the Spurs squad.

Tottenham transfer links

John Stones - 4/1

With Jan Vertonghen leaving the club, Spurs are likely to be in the market for another central defender, and the out-of-favour Manchester City centre-back could be a viable option.

Stones featured just 16 times for City in the Premier League last season, with midfielder Fernandinho being preferred over the Englishman.

The 26-year-old is reportedly looking for a route out of the Etihad Stadium as he looks to play more first-team football.

Leon Bailey - 3/1

Bailey is also reportedly a target for Spurs, but Mourinho’s side could face some competition for his signature, with Everton also keen.

The 22-year-old winger featured 22 times for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga last season, scoring five goals in the process.

As it stands, Spurs have Steven Bergwijn, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Son Heung-min and Ryan Sessegnon, who can all play in the wide positions.

Max Aarons - 2/1

Aarons was one of the only positives from Norwich City’s dismal first season back in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old played all-but two games for the Canaries as they suffered relegation back to the Championship.

Despite the team’s woes, Aarons’ defensive and attacking qualities were on show for everybody to see, and it’s no surprise that he is a reported target for several Premier League sides.

Troy Deeney - 7/2

Despite Deeney’s best efforts, Watford were relegated to the Championship, but it looks as if the Hornets skipper may move on from his beloved club.

Spurs are in the market for someone to provide support to star striker Harry Kane, and Deeney has been tipped as that man, with SkyBet offering 7/2 odds.

The 32-year-old netted 10 times for the Hornets last season and could provide a very different option from the bench, if Spurs were to sign him.

Wilfried Zaha - 5/1

Also linked with Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal, Zaha is 5/1 to join Tottenham before the new season starts.

The tricky Crystal Palace winger can prove a nightmare to handle for defenders when he’s on the ball, and has established himself as a top talent in recent seasons.

Zaha could perhaps add more goals to his sometimes formidable performances, but it seems even that aspect of his game has improved in recent years.
