Leeds United star Ezgjan Alioski has aimed a dig at Manchester United ahead of his side's clash against Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup on Monday.
The Whites are in good spirits at the moment as they sit top of the Championship table and this strong form has made Alioski emboldened enough to have a pop at United .
The Reds suffered a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal last time out in the Premier League and ahead of facing a Gunners' side who had just dispatched United, Alioski was ready to play down the quality of Mikel Arteta's men.
When asked about Arsenal's win over United at the Emirates on New Year's Day, Alioski took his opportunity to take a shot at the Reds.
"Even we could beat them this season," Alioski told the BBC, per journalist Adam Pope.
No doubt this is the type of bold statement that has made Alioski a fan favourite at Elland Road this season.
Should Leeds earn promotion to the Premier League this season, we may see more of this back and forth come the summer as one of the most famous rivalries in English football potentially reignites.
