A Celebration of Textiles - part of Celebrate Headingley - was a fantastic success, says organiser Mary Francis. Pictures from the event, attended by more than 400 people, can be found here. Mary added:
"We had spinners, weavers, dyers, ruggers, lace-makers, felters, quilters, knitters, crochet-ers - and more! We've had lots of requests for a repeat event - hopefully there will be one sometime next year. All proceeds are going towards the Headingley LiFest - so the benefit will come back to the community in a different form!"
