Tottenham know they must make strides during the summer transfer window after finishing sixth in the Premier League this past season.
This fact has naturally led to transfer speculation aplenty as Jose Mourinho attempts to improve the quality of his side.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart have been signed but this needs to just be the start if Spurs are to land a spot back in the Champions League for the 2021/22 season.
Here we take a look at the latest Tottenham transfer rumours below.
Tottenham eyeing Ndidi
Tottenham are keeping tabs on Leicester City star midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
That's according to reports in France, per Sport Witness, with Spurs said to have 'taken information' about Ndidi.
Mourinho is eager to bolster his squad across the park and has been linked with the likes of Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish.
But Ndidi, 23, would be a much cheaper option, though the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked.
Spurs want Rakitic again
Tottenham are back in the market for Ivan Rakitic, according to Spanish publication Sport.
Rakitic wants out at Barcelona and Spurs have shown interest in the midfielder.
Now it has been reported that the Spanish giants, now managed by Ronald Koeman, are willing to part ways with the 32-year-old.
Bale told to 'keep mouth shut' amid exit talk
Former Tottenham star Gareth Bale has been sent a strong message by the Spanish media amid talk of a potential Real Madrid exit.
Bale is preparing to play for Wales and one of his most recent national team breaks was filled with controversy after his 'Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order' flag held up after Euro qualification was decided.
That was of course in response to the media of accusing him of not having Real high on his list of priorities.
Now ahead of leaving to play for Wales again he has been hit with stinging criticism in the Spanish press.
"Respect and decorum have been demanded of him in his behaviour and statements," AS columnist Jesus Gallego wrote.
"It is bad that he gave up being an important player in Madrid, but if he continued to disrespect the club it would be outrageous.
"So keep your mouth shut and keep your form, no one can pay you what you take here."
