Kirkcudbright piper steps up Marie Curie fundraising efforts with special raffle

A Kirkcudbright piper is stepping up her fundraising efforts for Marie Curie.

Jane McCartney is currently busy training to scale Mount Kilimanjaro for the charity in February.

And before then she is holding a raffle with a host of fantastic prizes on offer.

Local businesses have been very generous in supporting her efforts with some of the goodies on offer including two nights in a glamping pod at Brighouse Bay, hampers from Tesco, Morrisons, Brambles and Castle MacLellan and vouchers for restaurants, beauty salons and other shops. There’s also jewellery, make-up, calendars and lots more to be won.

Tickets are available from The Belfry Cafe in Kirkcudbright and the draw will take place at 3pm in the cafe on Saturday, November 30.

People are welcome to watch the draw, with all proceeds to going to Marie Curie.
