Two bodies have been discovered in a property in Irvine as police investigate a double death tragedy.
The man and woman, both aged 38, were found at an address in the town's South Vennel.
Officers were in attendance around 2.55pm on Friday afternoon after being called to the scene.
Police are treating the deaths as unexplained but non-suspicious.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of the sudden deaths of a woman and a man, both aged 38, within a property at South Vennel in Irvine around 2.55pm on Friday, May 28.
"Their deaths are being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal."
