How to watch Pixar's Onward in the UK

Pixar's Onward is one of the recent film releases that's had its cinema run cut short due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Originally released in mid-March the film was enjoying box office success before cinemas across the UK were forced to close as part of a nationwide lockdown.

Disney fans were then expecting the film to be uploaded to its streaming service Disney+ but it was only added in the US.

It's now been confirmed that the film will arrive to Disney+ in the UK from October 2.

A number of other Disney films have also been affected by cinema closures, with the live-action remake of Mulan being added at an extra cost of £19.99 to subscribers to make back money on its budget and Marvel's Black Widow being pushed back to 2021.

Plus the short which was screened ahead of Onward in cinemas - Playdate with Destiny - which follows Maggie Simpson was released on Disney+.

Meanwhile the launch of Disney+ has seen thousands of users across the UK sign up during lockdown. There's a free seven-day trial and then it costs £5.99 per month or £59.99 per year, to sign up go to www.disneyplus.com.
