How to make the perfect Irish coffee

There's no better beverage on a cold night than an Irish coffee - that classic blend of hot coffee, Irish whiskey, sugar and a luscious layer of cream - and this Saturday, Irish Coffee Day, is the perfect time to enjoy it.

There are countless bars around Dublin where you can sample a perfect Irish coffee, but what if you want to have a go at home?

Well, here's how to make a perfect Irish coffee from the good people at Bushmills Irish Whiskey:

Bushmills Irish Coffee

Ingredients

35ml Bushmills Original
10 - 15ml demerara syrup
Black coffee / Americano
Double cream float

Method

Pre-heat glass coffee mug, make one Americano coffee, add 35ml Bushmills Original and demerara syrup.

Muddle and add cream float on top to serve.
