Hospital rowdy attacked two female police officers

A hospital rowdy who attacked two female police officers has been electronically tagged for four months.

Patrick Burns, 43, of Mayfield Road, Hamilton, must stay within his home between 7pm and 7am each day.

He appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week and admitted shouting abuse, struggling with police officers and threatening them at Hairmyres Hospital on August 16.

Burns also admitted trying to kick PC Jennifer Given and biting PC Mandy Neil on the body to her injury.
