Free agent DT Domata Peko met with Lions

Free agent defensive tackle Domata Peko had a visit with the Detroit Lions last week during the team’s final few days of OTAs. The veteran DT told TMZ Sports he was in Detroit looking for a contract.

Peko, 34, played the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos. He spent his first 11 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals after being a fourth-round pick out of Michigan State. He’s known for his trademark hair and quickness on the defensive interior.

“Had a nice visit last week with the Lions,” Peko told a reporter in Beverly Hills. “My agent is trying to work some stuff out. We’re gonna see.”

He believes he still has something to offer even after playing 201 career games already.

“I think I have a couple more years here in the tank.”

Peko later divulged he really wanted to play for the Rams and with Aaron Donald. He remains unsigned.
