Eurovision 2021 countries, acts, songs and odds as Rotterdam hosts annual event

The eyes of Europe, and plenty others from across the world, will be on Rotterdam on Saturday night as the Dutch city hosts the final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Like many other events, last year's Eurovision fell victim to the coronavirus pandemic, with the final replaced by a special TV broadcast where the acts performed virtually.

But it's been a lot more normal this time round, with a busy week of semi-finals at the Ahoy arena, which has led to some countries, including Ireland and Australia, crashing out early.

There are 26 countries left in the running for the Eurovision crown this year - 10 qualifiers from semi final 1, 10 from semi final 2, 'the big 5' - France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom - and host nation, The Netherlands.

Eurovision will start at 8pm, with it set to air on BBC1 until 11.45pm.

Here are the acts and songs you can look forward to seeing and their odds of winning...

While their song is still in the contest and they are eligible to win, Iceland won't be performing on the night after one of Daði og Gagnamagnið tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week.

Their rehearsal performance will be aired for viewers to vote on.

All of this year's acts are hoping to follow in the footsteps of Duncan Laurence, who won for The Netherlands in Tel-Aviv back in 2019 with his song Arcade.
