Employment law supplement in the Birmingham Post

Latest developments in the employment law sector have been profiled in a special supplement.

Our sister newspaper the Birmingham Post has gathered expert commentary from the West Midlands legal sector with support from Birmingham Law Society.

Among those key topics discussed are employment relationships, the changing political landscape and non-disclosure agreements.

Sponsorship of the supplement comes from Sydney Mitchell, DLA Piper and Clarke Willmott.

Writing in the supplement, Mike Hibbs, chairman of Birmingham Law Society's employment law committee, said: "As the UK waits nervously for political decisions on the country's future international relations currently, we are in a nearly full-employment economy with a record low number of those out of work.

"Whilst this will change with some of the high-profile failures and the removal of some work from manufacturing, especially the car industry, and retail the vacancies in other sectors will continue, the demand for retraining and focusing school leavers' attentions on the workplaces where jobs are most likely to be required."

The supplement is available free in this week's edition of the Birmingham Post and can be read online here.
