Emmerdale viewers were left a little bemused as Faith Dingle made her big return to the soap after two years away from the ITV soap.
The Dingle matriarch, played by actress Sally Dexter, left the Dales under a dark cloud after it was revealed she kept Nate a secret from Cain.
Cain had no idea that he had another son until he turned up in Emmerdale to seek revenge for his dad abandoning him.
Yet, both later realised that Faith had known, but hadn't told son Cain that Nate existed - leading a furious Cain to tell his mother that he didn't want to see her again.
But tonight, Faith was back as she was caught by Moira in the middle of stealing a hearse.
Stunned fans flocked to Twitter to comment, with one writing: "Faith and that reveal scared the hell out me #emmerdale."
While another commented: "Faith WTF !!! #Emmerdale."
A third wrote: "I'm so happy about this! Welcome back Sally Dexter #Emmerdale."
