Emmerdale fans fear Samson Dingle will 'murder' teens who mugged Lydia

Emmerdale fans are concerned that Samson Dingle could end up committing murder after Lydia was mugged.

Lydia's name was used by Paul Ashdale in various financial schemes and credit card applications, and now that he's dead, Lydia is paying the price.

During Tuesday's episode of the ITV soap, Lydia was left in tears after someone threw a brick through their window.

However, she tried to act strong for the sake of Sam and Samson and told them to go to work and school and not to worry about her.

But as she headed out, Lydia was confronted by two teenagers - who proceeded to mug her by emptying her handbag and stealing money.

One of the teens claimed that Lydia was the one who "ripped off" their nan - but she pleaded with them to leave her alone and tried to explain that she wasn't the one to blame.

As Sam approached the situation, the two boys ran off and Samson was seen watching from a distance.

As he walked over to Lydia, he apologised for not getting involved but said he had "panicked".

Viewers were fuming that he wasn't brave enough to step in - but it seems Samson is going to take matters into his own hands.

At the end of the episode, the schoolboy was heard calling a classmate on the phone and enquiring about the two teens.

He then began searching the kitchen for a weapon as he made plans to have "a word" with the two boys who had confronted Lydia.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer predicted: "There's gonna be a murrrderrrrr. #Emmerdale."

Another posted: "Samson plans to resolve Lydia issue the proper dingle way. #Emmerdale."

And a third added: "Samson has definitely got his Uncle Cain's way of thinking. #emmerdale."

Another viewer tweeted: "DON'T do it Samson #Emmerdale," while someone else said: "Taking crowbar to school. Good ol' Dingles. #Emmerdale."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
