Edinburgh paper fights to save music venue

Thousands of the Edinburgh Evening News's readers have backed its campaign save one of the city's key music venues, Queen's Hall. It is likely to close because public funding will be withdrawn when the Scottish Arts Council channels funds into a new waterfront concert hall. But the paper argues that the venue is renowned for its perfect acoustics and is loved by promoters, performers and the public. (Via Edinburgh Evening News)
