Donny van de Beek 'changes agent' to force Manchester United exit and more transfer rumours

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has changed his agent ahead of a possible exit in January, according to reports.

United signed Van de Beek in the summer of 2020 in, what at the time was seen as, a coup for just £35million from Ajax, a season after he'd shone in the Dutch club's remarkable run to the Champions League semi-finals.

However, the 24-year-old's career has stalled since arriving at Old Trafford as he has found playing time at an extreme premium at the club.

Van de Beek started just three Premier League games last season, with two coming in the last four matches, and so far has a mere 141 minutes of action to his name across all competitions in the current campaign.

It has led to increased speculation that he could seek to leave United when the transfer window opens in January and fuel has now been added to the fire.

According to Voetball International, via the Mirror, the Dutchman has hired a new agent, Ali Dursun, to find him a new club in the new year.

It's reported that Dursun also represents the likes of Barcelona duo Martin Braithwaite and Frenkie de Jong, a former teammate of Van de Beek in Amsterdam.

Newcastle United and Barcelona have been linked, it's added, while Everton also showed an interest in the midfielder this past summer.

Meanwhile, it's reported that Paul Pogba won't discuss a new contract with United until next year.

The Frenchman's current deal will expire in the summer and, as a result, he can begin pre-contract negotiations with clubs outside of England from January 1, with PSG, Real Madrid and Juventus heavily touted.

United remain keen to keep hold of the playmaker but, according to Marca, agent Mino Raiola has told United to put off talks over a new deal until April at the earliest, as Pogba wants to concentrate on his football.
