Coronavirus Northern Ireland: West Belfast Black Taxis stop services

West Belfast Black Taxi's will stop their services due to the Covid-19 crisis, it has been announced.

In a statement, Belfast Taxis CIC said that services will be withdrawn from 7pm on Wednesday March 25.

It read: "It is with deep regret that we have to inform customers that due to health and safety and the inability to insure passengers/ drivers and staff wellbeing during these unprecedented times, we have had to make the decision to withdraw out services as and from 7pm on the 25th March 2020.

"We are hopeful that this decision will be a temporary measure and we will review this on a regular basis.

"These are extraordinary times for all of us and we hope that everyone keeps safe during these very worrying times."
