Coronavirus hand sanitising stations installed in Belfast City Centre

Belfast City Council have announced that they have introduced temporary hand sanitising stations in areas throughout the city centre.

Four hand sanitising units, which were installed last week, are located within the city centre and can be found at: the junction of Castle Place/Royal Avenue, either side of Donegall Place, and at Cornmarket.

These new units come as part of the Council's 'Stay Safe Belfast' initiative, which is encouraging people to follow the advice of Public Health Northern Ireland when they're out and about in the city centre.

The Council have also stated that 28 permanent hand sanitising units are set to be installed in Belfast during the month of November.

The 28 further units will be installed at: Ann Street, Bradbury Place, Castle Street, Chichester Street, City Hall, Donegall Place, Dublin Road, Great Victoria Street, High Street, May Street, Royal Avenue, Waring Street and Wellington Place.

Sharing the news on Twitter today, the Council said: "Great to see new temporary hand sanitisers now in place in Belfast city centre, helping shoppers #StaySafeBelfast.

"Find them at:

- junction of Castle Place/Royal Ave

- either side of Donegall Place

- Cornmarket

"A further 28 permanent units will be installed next month."
