Chris Ramsey leaves Strictly Come Dancing but gets amazing send-off

He has been one of if not THE most entertaining thing about Strictly Come Dancing this year but sadly we won't be seeing Chris Ramsey in the final.

And that's because the South Shields comedian and professional partner exited the ballroom in fourth place after losing the dance-off to Karim & Amy on Sunday night.

Chris was a complete novice going into Strictly and no-one is more surprised than the man himself to have made it to the semi-finals.

The 33-year-old's efforts didn't go un-noticed by the judges. After Craig told Chris how proud he was of him on Saturday, while sealing his fate on Sunday, Bruno thanked him "for three months of entertainment," before all four judges got on their feet to award Chris & Karen and much deserved standing ovation, along with the studio audience.

In his exit interview with Strictly host Tess Daly, Chris said "I'm very proud of myself; I never ever, ever thought I'd make it past week 2... like, genuinely, no expectations whatsoever, I thought I'd be gone.

"I'm astounded and I've got to thank Karen, literally she's just amazing. She's the best teacher, she's so incredible at her job, she's SO patient it's crazy.

"I was so scared of dancing, I had sleepless nights. There is no-one else who could have made it what it's been.

Chris has given millions of viewers plenty of memorable moments including his salsa to Uptown Funk in Blackpool, mean and moody paso doble and of course the Couples' Choice routine to Geordie anthem Let's Get Ready to Rhumble by PJ & Duncan.

Chris & Karen's exit leaves Kelvin & Oti, Emma & Anton and Karim & Amy in the running for the Glitterball trophy, which will be decided in next week's live Strictly final.
