Cardinals to spend more time with Nick Bosa, will have 2-day official visit

The Arizona Cardinals are serious in their interest in Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa. While rumors continue to connect the Cardinals with Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, they are spending a lot of time with the best pass rusher in the draft in Bosa.

After dining with Bosa in Florida on Friday, the Cardinals will now bring him to Arizona for one of their 30 official prospect visits, according to SI’s Albert Breer.

Bosa is considered by many to be the best player in the draft. In three seasons at Ohio State, he had 17.5 sacks and 29 tackles for loss. He is a polished pass rusher and dominant up front. He only played in four games in 2018 before having core muscle surgery, but in those four games he had three sacks and six tackles for loss.

He would give the Cardinals another pass rusher to add to Chandler Jones and Terrell Suggs. Assuming Suggs only plays one season, it allows Bosa to play a situational role and give the Cardinals continuity from the edge.

Unless the Cardinals are really working hard to make it look like they haven’t made up their mind on the top pick of the draft, it would appear they are still very open to a player like Bosa, rather than Murray.
