We now know the details of running back C.J. Anderson’s free agent contract with the Detroit Lions.
Anderson will earn $1.5 million on the 1-year contract, according to Spotrac. He collected a $200,000 signing bonus. None of the money other than the bonus is listed as guaranteed.
He signed the deal officially on Friday.
By way of comparison, Anderson will earn less than the $2 million LeGarrette Blount did while playing the No. 2 RB role in 2018. Anderson averaged 6.0 yards per carry while playing for the Panthers and Rams, while Blount was dead last in the NFL at just 2.7 yards per carry. Blount remains unsigned.
