BRIEF: Former Duck Francois Beauchemin posts Tustin home for $3.5 million

July 14--Former Anaheim Ducks defenseman Francois Beauchemin, who joined the Colorado Avalanche on a three-year deal worth $13.5 million in July, has listed his home in Tustin for sale at $3.499 million.

Set on more than half an acre in gated Tustin Ranch, the two-story home features two master suites, a double-height entry and a saltwater swimming pool with a raised spa and waterfall feature.

Interiors with raised ceilings and Travertine floors include a step-down dining room, a living room with a fireplace, a wet bar and a center-island kitchen. The upstairs master suite has a sitting room, a fireplace and a balcony for a total of six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms in 5,400 square feet of space.

Outdoors, the landscaped grounds contain a covered patio, an outdoor fireplace, a built-in barbecue and a large expanse of grass. A fountain filled with succulents marks the entrance to the home.

Beauchemin bought the house in 2012 for $2.3 million, records show.

Jeff Jones of RE/MAX Orange County East is the listing agent.

Beauchemin, 35, had 11 goals and 12 assists in 64 games for Anaheim last year, his 13th NHL season. His 179 points is second among all defensemen in Ducks franchise history.
