Bill Callahan sees similarities between Redskins and Vikings

Bill Callahan has been around the block a few times and now stands as the interim coach for the Washington Redskins.

And viewing the Minnesota Vikings ahead of Thursday’s game, he sees some notable similarities that carried over between the two teams when Kirk Cousins landed with the Vikings.

Callahan, according to The Star Tribune’s Andrew Krammer: “It’s interesting to see the Vikings incorporate a lot of the concepts similar to ones we featured here. He can roll out, move out, throw deep on the move.”

Those similarities have helped Cousins complete 70.1 percent of his passes with 43 touchdowns against 13 interceptions over 23 games with the Vikings.

Funnily enough, those same traits are what Callahan and Co. continue to emphasize with new veteran starter Case Keenum. Obviously, that’s still a work in progress for the Redskins.

Both Cousins and Keenum will meet for potential revenge games against their old teams Thursday night.
