Canberra bikie charged with attempted murder after trying to fly to Abu Dhabi

A man was shot in the hand and three cars were set alight in Calwell in June.

A bikie has been arrested while trying to leave the country and extradited to the ACT on attempted murder charges over a shooting in June.

Canberra man Axel Sidaros, 24, was arrested at Melbourne Airport over the weekend while trying to board a flight to Abu Dhabi.

The charges stem from a shooting on June 28 at a home in the suburb of Calwell, during which three cars were torched and the resident of the home was shot in the hand.

Court documents revealed the target of the shooting was believed to be Peter Zdravkovic, who is also known as "Concrete Pete".

Police confirmed the incident was related to a conflict within a bikie gang.

Mr Sidaros pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and charges relating to setting the cars on fire in the ACT Magistrates Court today.

Acting deputy chief police officer Scott Moller said he was looking for more people involved in the shooting.

"Any arrest we can make in relation to this organised criminal activity is certainly a success for police and a blow to their criminal network," he said.

"We will not stop until we have every person involved in this incident before the court.

"I have significant resources dedicated to this investigation."
