BHOPAL: Gandhi Nagar police is investigating the suicide case of a middle-aged married woman, who poured kerosene over her body and set herself ablaze after a dispute with neighbour two days ago. She died while undergoing treatment on Sunday; cops may soon register a case on charges of abetment to suicide against the neighbour.
SHO Gandhi Nagar, SI Arun Sharma said, deceased Chanda Wadhwani, 50, wife of Sewakram, a resident of Shivaji Ward in Gandhi Nagar, was a housewife. Her husband is a businessman. Sharma said, construction of a neighbouring house was going on next to Chanda’s house, from which concrete mixture and sand fell in her house. This led to frequent quarrels between the neighbours.
A dispute over the same issue took place between Chanda and her neighbour Raju around 5.30 pm on October 2. Chanda got angry, and in a fit of rage, poured kerosene over her body and set herself ablaze.
The family members rushed her to hospital where she died on Sunday morning. Gandhi Nagar police reached the spot and registered a case.
the SI said, investigation is going on and a case on charges of abetment to suicide may be registered against Raju.
