Bernardo Silva responds when asked about Kylian Mbappe Man City transfer

Bernardo Silva could not hide his excitement after being asked about the prospect of Kylian Mbappe joining Manchester City from Paris Saint-Germain.

World Cup winner Mbappe is widely regarded to be one of the finest players in world football but there is intense speculation surrounding his future.

Contracted with PSG until 2022, it has been reported that the forward is reluctant to extend his contract in the French capital and could therefore push for an exit.

If that is a case, a sale next summer is highly likely as the Ligue 1 giants will want to recoup a fee for his services and there are few clubs in the world who could afford his fee.

City are certainly among them and Silva, who was a former teammate of Mbappe's at Monaco, has been asked about a potential reunion at the Etihad Stadium.

“Kylian Mbappé. He was already a special player at Monaco when I was there, and he’s also a friend. If we could get him, it wouldn’t be bad, eh?” He told L'Equipe.

Still just 21-years-old, Mbappe has been in sensational form since moving to the French capital as he has hit 96 goals in 130 appearances for the club.

He helped PSG reach last season's Champions League final, where they were defeated by Bayern Munich, and has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal were linked with his services before he left Monaco, while Liverpool have regularly been named as suitors during recent transfer windows.
