Anger as disabled Liverpool FC fans let down by Barcelona ticket allocation

Liverpool FC fans have reacted with fury after it was revealed Barcelona would only be offering five disabled spaces at the giant Camp Nou stadium for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.

The tiny allocation is out of a total of 4,620 seats being made available to away fans by the Spanish club for the crucial match on May 1.

Although LFC offered Barcelona 12 pairs of disabled space tickets for the return leg at Anfield, the La Liga giants only took up five.

Fans took to social media to express their disgust, with season ticket holder Dan Wakefield saying it was "totally unacceptable."

LFC supporters' group Spirit of Shankly also offered their support to calls for UEFA and LFC to contest the allocation.

Five pairs of tickets is the standard allocation given by Barcelona to visiting disabled fans.

The ECHO understands LFC are in discussions with Barcelona with a view to increasing the allocation.
