Alisson forced off with injury in Liverpool's Premier League opener

Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of key goalkeeper Alisson Becker after he was forced off in the first half of their Premier League opener against Norwich.

The Reds were 3-0 up and in cruise control when Alisson slipped taking a routine goal kick in the 35th minute of the clash at Anfield.

He received treatment from physios on his lower leg but was unable to continue, although he was able to hobble off with assistance after a stretcher was brought onto the field.

New signing Adrian replaced Alisson, with the Reds now facing an anxious wait to discover the extent of the damage.

Spanish stopper Adrian, 32, left West Ham when his contract expired at the end of last season, and he moves to Anfield following the departure of Simon Mignolet to Club Brugge.

"I’m feeling really happy; really happy to be here and to work in this great club and start doing my stuff on the pitch as soon as possible,” Adrian - who played 150 games for the Hammers - told the Liverpool website .

“I’m very ambitious, I come here to try to win everything, to try to push Ali from the first minute and to make us better.

“Obviously I want to win titles. I come here to fight for all the competitions. We have many competitions ahead – we’re going to fight for it and try to get them."

Just moments after his introduction, Divock Origi headed in Liverpool's fourth goal.

A Grant Hanley own goal had handed them a perfect start before Mohamed Salah slotted home the second and Virgil van Dijk headed in the third.

Alisson's injury proved the only blight on their dream first half.
