2019 Jaguars practice squad signings and waiver pick-up tracker

With the preseason and final cuts behind us, the Jacksonville Jaguars have now shaped their roster for Week 1’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs — at least for the most part. They started off Sunday by making four waiver claims. They’ve also made the transactions necessary to bring those four players in and keep the roster at 53 players.

Now, the Jags must fill their practice squad up, which consists of 10 available spots.

Practice squad tracker:

1:44 PM EST: Per Phillip Heilman of The Athletic all of the Jags’ waived players from Saturday went unclaimed. Fans should expect names like QB Alex McGough and cornerbacks Tae Hayes and Picasso Nelson Jr. to potentially fill a few of the Jags’ 10 practice squad spots.

2:33 PM EST: The Jags are signing offensive lineman Blake Hance, formerly of the Washington Redskins.

2:45 PM EST: Jaguars expected to add “Hard Knocks” standout WR Keelan Doss to their practice squad.

3:53 PM EST: Jags officially announced six players to their 10-man practice squad. In all probability, Doss and Hance will be announced Monday, too.

Waiver claims by the Jags:

The Jags claimed tight end Seth DeValve (Cleveland Browns), running back Tyler Ervin (Baltimore Ravens), tight end Matt Orzech (Baltimore Ravens), and running back Devine Ozigbo (New Orleans Saints) off the waiver wire Sunday afternoon. (Details here)
