Your week in chic: the smartest ski wear and Depop’s best crystal party tees

(Very chic) chalet girls

Already renowned for some off-piste proposals (towel skirts and masks anyone?), now Balenciaga is hitting the slopes. The maison has released its debut ski collection. Chiming with creative director Demna’s elevated futurism, expect innovations like membrane-bonded technical ripstop parkas and cargo pants with integrated snow skirts, clever ventilation systems, battery life-saving pockets, and ski pass holders.

Completed-table

Completedworks (Completedworks)

Dry guests? Drier food? No problem. Completedworks’ tableware is the kind of talking point that can distract from any hosting horror stories. Founder Anna Jewsbury, known for her offbeat, organic jewellery, translates the same sensibility to her new home capsule for Net-A-Porter, including dining sets and tumblers hand blown from 100 per cent recycled glass. “There’s something very satisfying about taking a traditional medium such as glassware and subverting it to a place of newness,” she says.

The It-girl approved tee

Conner Ives and Saskia Lambert (Conner Ives)

“With all my work, I aim to confront the fast fashion cycle head-on — returning to craft and the concept of making clothes with friends, for friends. As a lover and advocate of circular fashion“ says Conner Ives, the Central Saint Martins trained American designer who is best known for making the upcycled t-shirt dresses and crystal studded hoodies London It-girls love. Now, he has launched a (relatively) affordable collection on Depop — the tee (£100) is something to swoon for.

Jingle Bottegas

(Bottega Veneta)

Getting excited about a handbag might seem a little bit gauche… But thanks to Matthieu Blazy’s Bottega Veneta that’s exactly where we find ourselves (again and again. And again). See the limited-edition metallic takes of new classic, the Sardine. In ritzy gold and silver, these are party bags for the woman who doesn't do a bog standard clutch — just in time for Christmas.

A decade, Plissé

(Henry Leutwyler)

Issey Miyake’s Homme Plissé line turns 10 this month. The Miyake loyalists can celebrate with the limited-edition Decade anniversary pieces.

Authentically eBay

Set those alerts. Now offering authentication services for designer bags, watches, collectable sneakers and fine jewellery, it has never been easier to do a posh shop on eBay. Fancy logging off for a bit? Then, mark your diaries: from November 30 to December 2, eBay is hosting a Taste of Luxury Mayfair pop-up, showcasing pieces from Tiffany & Co., Prada, Rolex and more.

November 30 -December 2, 11 Bruton Street, W1J

Paul Smith, stateside

(Commission &PaulSmith)

Following his excellent collaboration with Priya Ahluwalia, Sir Paul Smith is heading stateside for his latest &PaulSmith capsule. This time he has buddied up with buzzy New York brand, the LVMH Prize nominated Commission. Founded in 2018 by Dylan Cao and Jin Kay, Commission draws on the pair’s Asian-American heritage. For the &PaulSmith collection, they looked to the designer’s ’90s and ’00s archive. The 22-piece capsule includes wool overcoats, retro joggers and natty knits.
